Driven by a diverse and professional group of passionate volunteers, YV delivers all proceeds from events to Variety WA for the direct benefit of our sick, disadvantaged and special needs children.

Past Events

YV staged three exciting and innovative fundraising events in 2007, providing the youth of Western Australia with good excuses to get out and ‘get down’ while raising thousands of dollars for Variety the Children’s Charity.

The year got off to a fantastic start with ‘Flipside’ - a celebration of all things summer. Held outdoors at a popular beachside hotel, the event featured DJs and a band, home-style BBQ burgers and novelty paddling pools, attracting more than 400 party goers. 

Following this success, ‘Beats n Bowls’ merged the sounds of some of Perth’s funkiest decknicians with the gentle art of lawn bowls, all in the crackerjack surroundings of a local Perth Bowling Club.  More than 200 guests enjoyed the unique, zen-like calm that only bowls, beats, beers and buddies can bestow!

Testimony to the high profile and powerful reputation YV has established, up and coming Perth nightclub ‘Geisha’ offered to sponsor the final YV event for 2007, donating their Asian-inspired venue and all drinks to benefit Variety. Again, more than 200 people enjoyed ‘Geisha’ themed sushi canapés and danced the night away to the sounds of some of Perth’s most popular DJs.

So far, 2008 has seen the successful follow up to 'Flipside', with many more exciting events in the works!
