Australia Day Tin Shake History
  
For several years, the Charitable Collections Advisory Committee of WA has awarded Variety WA with the rights to conduct a Street Appeal on Australia Day, January 26.
 
Our team of Variety volunteers will be out in force to collect donations on Perth’s foreshores, shaking their tins to raise funds for WA’s sick, disadvantaged and special needs children before the popular Lotterywest Skyworks.
 
The ‘Coins for Kids’ appeal is a Variety WA fundraising initiative where every gold coin donation receives a Variety Gold Heart pin or tattoo!
 
The collection has proven successful for Variety over the years and particularly enhances the fund raising efforts of the participants in the Channel Nine Coles Variety Bash and Kimberley Diamond Variety Bike Run, who use the Tin Shake to help meet their individual fundraising targets.
